Drottningholm Palace is the private residence of The King and Queen since 1981. Still a mayor part of the palace is publicly accessible.

The Royal Domain of Drottningholm is an excellent example of an authentic palace environment from the 17th and 18th centuries. As a result, UNESCO designated Drottningholm a World Heritage Site in 1991.
